Getting started on Hezo Cloud
Signing up takes two things: a sentence about what you want your team to work on, and an email address. There is no password and no credit card.
1. Describe the work, and give us your email
Start from Launch team on hezo.ai, or go straight to app.hezo.ai/start. The form asks what your team should work on. Write a few lines: what the project is, who it is for, and what done looks like. That brief becomes your first project, so it is worth more than a title.
The language you fill the form in becomes your account's language, and your instance's.
2. Open the link we email you
We send a link rather than asking you to choose a password. It works once, expires after fifteen minutes, and opens in any browser - so you can start on a phone and finish on a laptop.
There is no password anywhere on Hezo Cloud. Signing in later means asking for another link.
3. Choose your address
Your instance answers on you.app.hezo.ai, and you pick the you part. Three
to thirty characters, lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.
The address cannot be changed later, and a name is never reused - including after an account is deleted. Choose one you will still want in a year.
Your instance is built the moment you take the address, and takes a few minutes to come up. We email you when it is ready.
4. Save your recovery phrase
The first time you open your instance it gives you a twelve-word recovery phrase. Everything sensitive your instance holds is encrypted behind it.
That phrase is generated in your browser and never reaches us. We do not hold a copy, and nobody here can recover it for you. Write it down somewhere durable before you continue - a password manager, or paper in a drawer. See Master key & encryption for what it protects.
You will be asked for it again if your instance restarts.
5. Meet your team
Your brief opens as your first project, and the CEO picks it up from there - scoping the work with you and staffing a team for it. From here the rest of these docs apply: see Your first project for what to expect, and What's different from self-hosting for the handful of pages that do not.
Your free trial starts when you take your address, not when you first sign in. See Plans, usage & billing.
